Seattle is a music town, but if its music venues disappear in the era of COVID, many wonder how it can continue to be one. Seattle music venues are in dire straights. In this piece for South Seattle Emerald, I talk with a new coalition called Washington Music and Nightlife Association that includes some of the biggest venues in town — Nuemos, Chop Suey, Tractor Tavern—about just how dire things truly are, and what the public can do to help.
