This workshop is specially-tailored for independent musicians, particularly those who don’t know how to work with music press/bookers and aren’t in a place where they can hire out publicity and social media management. It’s also tailored to those musicians who struggle with how to use social media, what the heck a hashtag or a story post even is, and why social media is important.
In this primer workshop, I’ll give you some tips on:
How to converse with members of the music press by crafting your own electronic press kit (EPK)
How to define and create your brand story as an artist
How to use YouTube and Dropbox to put together and send EPKs
How to increase your following on social media with a fully-optimized profile, hashtags, and engaging posts
I’ll also leave some time at the end for any questions you might have.
