MUSIC INDUSTRY EXPERT
Music is one of my greatest passions. The daughter of a professional jazz musician, I grew up not only listening to and playing music myself, but immersing myself in the behind the scenes of live venue performances, music festivals, camps, and more.
In my early twenties, in addition to working as a music journalist with The Seattle Times, Paste, No Depression, Fretboard Journal, Audiofemme, and more, I worked as a music publicist and manager.
I enjoy sharing my perspectives on music marketing and media in Seattle and the industry at large with emerging and established artists. I often consult with musicians about their marketing & media outreach, and I assist musicians with the copy they need for their websites, one sheets, and marketing strategy.
Because I also work as a music journalist, I like to be transparent upfront: If I do help with a musician with their marketing, I do not write about them as a journalist. Likewise, I do not accept payment from musicians to write journalism about them or their music.
