For close to a decade, I pursued freelance writing with the goal of going full-time. In 2018, I did just that, and I’ve never looked back—I’ve got control over my schedule, can work from anywhere, and I’m building something that is entirely my own while also having fun! What a concept!

Seattle music venues are in dire straights. In this piece for South Seattle Emerald, I talk with a new coalition called Washington Music and Nightlife Association that includes some of the biggest venues in town — Nuemos, Chop Suey, Tractor Tavern—about just how dire things truly are, and what the public can do to help.
